The canopy
The canopy consists of mainly a Scots Pine with Larch, Beech and Oak and Western Hemlock Fir mixed in.
Our management plan involves thinning out the neglected Scots Pine plantation to encourage regenerative growth of the native deciduous trees. We are also planting areas of Hazel and Oak coppice.
